 European Union Special envoy to Somalia, Mr. Georges-Marc Andre made an official visit to Puntland... Mr. Andre and his delegation met with H.E. Mohamud Hersi at the Presidential Offices in Garowe. Puntland Government officials attending this meeting included: the Minister of Information, the Minister of Planning and International Relations, Minister of Women Development and Family Services, Minister of Fisheries & Ports and Marine Transport, Minister of Local Government and Regional Development, and the Director General of Mineral and Energy Department.

 Lord Ashdown of Norton-sub-Hamdon presented the 2007 Good Governance Award to Said Farah Mohamoud, the Chairman of the Puntland Good Governance Commission, for the outstanding job they contributed to Puntland good governance initiatives in the public sector category for Africa. The award was given by the House of Lords of the United Kingdom Parliament, on 17 July 2007.
